Brisbane Women’s Club is thrilled to kick-off this year’s Professional Networking Series with LinkedIn expert, Kylie Chown.

Kylie Chown is Australia’s First Certified Social Media Crisis Advisor, a LinkedIn Coach and Trainer, the current #2 LinkedIn Expert in the Asia-Pacific, the 2021 Winner Best Use of LinkedIn, a recipient of the SMMA & Mentor/Coach of the Year and the winner of the Silver Stevie Award for Marketing, Public Relations and Social Media.

Kylie will delve into harnessing your LinkedIn for growth and connection. Guests will learn how to step into the world of LinkedIn connection with confidence and take home actionable strategies that amplify your professional brand visibility, forge genuine connections and relationships, and ensure continuous growth in your chosen field.

After this event, you will:

  • Recognise LinkedIn’s unique positioning in the digital space and its advantages over other platforms.
  • Master the techniques to enhance LinkedIn profiles, understanding the importance of the headline, summary, and experience sections.
  • Learn about various content types suitable for LinkedIn and determine the most effective formats for your goals.
  • Learn and employ strategies for authentic engagement, including commenting, sharing, and initiating valuable conversations.
  • Acquire methods to build meaningful and strategic connections.

Join BWC for an evening of networking, canapes, and bubbles. Members will also receive a complimentary headshot by resident photographer Helen Henry.

Headshot Photos

BWC members will receive 1 complimentary headshot by professional photographer Helen Henry, of Rhubarb Photography, included in their ticket price. Non-members will be able to purchase 1 headshot for $20, or 3 for $50.

Additional headshots may be purchased for $20 each, or 3 for $50.

Dress Code

  • Women: Business casual – dresses, skirts, tailored pants, and stylish tops with appropriate accessories. On Fridays, dark or solid-coloured denim pants are allowed.
  • Men: Business casual – tailored trousers or chinos, collared long sleeve shirt (jackets and ties optional). On Fridays, dark or solid-coloured denim pants are acceptable.
  • Children (under 16): Collared shirts or blouses, tailored pants, dress denim, skirts, or dresses of modest length. Formal school uniforms are acceptable (no sports apparel).

 

This event is open to Brisbane Women’s’ Club Members and Guests. A membership to the Tattersalls Club is not required to attend.

 

Policies & Information

COVID Management – The event will be COVID compliant and venue run under a COVID-Safe Plan.

Cancellation Policy – Tickets are transferable but not refundable on account that tickets cover food costs of the venue.

Photography Consent – I consent to allow BWC to collect and use my personal images by photography or video recording (including using such images on BWC website, social media, as well as newsletters and publications now or in the future).  Consent can be withdrawn at any time by notifying secretary@bwc.org.au.  In giving my consent voluntarily I confirm that I am over the age of 18.
